So guys, what texture pack do you use most to play Minecraft? Recently I have been using sphax purebdcraft all the time, and it rocks! The colours are great and its a really nice smooth pack (ZeldaCraft screenshots below)
I use the Faithful 32x32 texture pack. It is basically the default textures but 32x32 instead of 16x16. Although not much of a difference, i like the way it looks.
Mainly go between default and Majora's Craft. The latter is pretty amazing without being ridiculously overblown, and there's something just... menacingly cool about its moon texture. It's one of those things where you don't want to look, but can't help it
On Zeldacraft, I like using the Gerudoku texture pack (Requires MCPatcher). It has a really nice RPG-Exploration theme, which makes it really fun to adventure and just look around. I took a few screenshots near the survival warp, so here they are: And here's my personal favorite: Right after I took that picture, Chlaudi killed me with a diamond sword. XD I don't know why the pictures are like that. Click on them to enlarge them.
I use Corocraft but sometimes i also use Zelda-OoT-v245.zip by Jennifer M Pedersen, UltimateZeldaCraft_1754639.zip & oCd-pack-124-by-disco.zip
These problems are probably because its an HD texture if you get the optifine mod it should fix them.
I say look for a smaller resulation texture pack of what you use like when I changed my okami 32x32 to a 16x16 and deleted the old file try doing that
Optifine is more reliable and increases fps. i used to use mcpatcher to install my molds and for hd textures but there were a few graphical issues still. I found mcpatcher didn't install all my mods properly either. Also please understand that i love mcpatcher and its a great program. I just found that it had a few glitches with HD textures and the optifine FPS boost is very handy too
I don't recommend downgrading either it looks alot nicer with more pixels and some texture packs are based on having more.
Personnaly i use optifine, because if you know a bit about computers, its easy to install, and theres loads of video tutorials. I use it mainly because it runs my game better and enables me to use my texture pack.
