What is your Minecraft username? Bilgewater1 Why do you want to be a mod? To help people, prevent griefing, keep people safe, and know who greifed me when I get greifed. Do you have a good understanding of the commands a mod uses? I know the server rules. I will be respectful to other players - I won't bully/abuse them. I will be impartial (i.e. unbiased) towards players. I won't break the rules that I am enforcing. I won't ever abuse my power. I know how to Jail, Ban, and undo greifing and the rest of the stuff i don't know i can learn over time. Will you be responsible, calm, mature, and trustworthy. I will be responsible, mature and trustworthy though I may not always be calm. 1. Someone's house has been griefed, what do you do? I ask the player where the griefed block(s) is/are.( if I cant find out myself or if they hadn't told me earlier) then i do /co inspect and place a block where the griefed block(s) is/are. If it says it was griefed, I type /co rollback u:username(the username) t:time(the time it was greifed ago) r:radius. ( the amount of blocks away from me that have been greifed)Then I do /jail username prison (for griefing, probably around 30-45 minutes). If they continue to greif I would stick them in jail again an if that player still continues to greif I would probably temporarily ban them. 2. Some users are arguing, what do you do? Well, this depends on what they are arguing about. I'd try to break it up and solve the argument as nicely as possible. If that was unsuccessful, I would give them another warning. And if they still keep arguing, I would probably stick them both in jail for a couple minutes. 3. A user is hurling abusive language at you, what do you do? I would give them a warning and tell them to stop. If they do not stop, tell them to stop again. If they still don't stop, stick them in jail for about 10 minutes. 4. Someone enters another person's house without permission, what do you do? Well, if that player entered the other players house, then the person who owned it didn't really protect it very well. I don't think it's a crime to be curious, but if they grief anything, that is a different matter and I would follow the greifing instructions to undo it.
I like the application, and you seem to understand the commands pretty well. One thing i was concerned with was sticking a player in jail for such a long time I say if they did enough griefing, then yes, that much time, but if it was something small, then only like 10 minutes would suffice. I do agree with your answers on 2 and 3, and like the way you said you would handle the situation. As for answer 4, I agree and disagree. My explanation? What if the player was not finished with their house, and they were unable to block other users from entering? Technically that would be trespassing, and the user would have no chance of protecting their house from other people. Trespassing is against the rules, so that portion I disagree with. As for trespassing using griefing, I agree with you, and how you would handle the situation. I am not entirely sure about whether I will approve your application, however, because our staff has two new members already and I feel we need to give them time to become accustomed with the tasks before we get another moderator.
Ok if I become a mod then I will put players in jail for shorter times if theydo something wrong and I see your point about the house thing
Yeah the application is great... good enough to make it. The only problem is that we have a lot of mods and i don't think we need more.
btw if anyones reading this I can't get on the server for some reason and when I try to it says Disconnected from server 5h what should I do if anyone knows
