I was just banned from ZeldaCraft I was not told why I was not breaking any rules All i was doing is building Would some one tell me why i was banned? EDIT: If i was banned for griefing would the person who banned me tell me what i was griefing?
Most likely it was because your account was found to have griefed. We can unban you, but if the account is found to have griefed again in the future, it will be permanently banned. I will message a few moderators to see if they could unban you, for I will not be able to get on the server until next wednesday.
I'm telling you, it was probably for griefing. The only other time we ban players is if they have advertised another server, and that ban we will NOT revoke.
If someone else logged in your account they could have broken some of the rules. Alternatively you might have done something by accident and a mod may have been overly harsh. Hopefully this is just a bit of a misunderstanding and you can get unbanned quickly. Regardless try not to grief by accident if you think you may have done.
Whenever I look at griefing, I look at the kinds of blocks that have been destroyed. If it was something like cobblestone or wood, I rollback it and mail the griefer. However, whenever all or some of the glass out of a window is broken, I automatically will ban the player, for you cannot 'accidentally' destroy someone's windows. Plus, glass is often the first item to be targeted by griefers because it is so easily destroyed.
I did drop some water on a building about 3-4 min before i was banned but after i noticed i had done that i went back up and removed that water stream. About a min after i removed it i was banned.
Well I get back on Sunday from my trip. If you are still banned then, then I will have a look into it.
Im rather new to minecraft didn't know what griefing was 100% so i might have broke some stuff mostly only from buildings that were broken down though. EDIT: alright thanks Mark would be nice in the furture if some one would let me know before they just do it Some one broke one of my glass windows idc though lol
Well, if the player isn't logged on, it is kind-of hard for a moderator to let them know they are being banned for griefing..
No i was logged in when i was banned. I was in game then got kicked out tryed to rejoin and it said i was banned.
Ok. If nothing else, I could have Fae unban you within 24 hours (if no one else is able to before then)
It comes to my attention that you have actually griefed MORE THAN ONE OCCASION and that this NOT the first time you have been banned for griefing
This is the first time i have been banned as far as i know. As i said im new to minecraft only got it a few weeks ago, i have explored alot of your map and been through a few houses moving a few blocks but not destroying anything just looking around at what people have built . I would like to see what it is I griefed. I would also like to be told who banned me and why i was not told that i had done some thing wrong. I have read your rules.
I banned you because you griefed a lot of blocks and I warned you and then you griefed a lot of my house. Breaking into people's houses is griefing. There was also very clearly a ladder going up a tall part of my house and you felt the need to break blocks as steps up around my ladder instead of using the ladder. I'm sorry but you have been warned more than once and that is why you are banned. We're trying to keep the amount of griefing down on the server and that is really difficult to do if we don't ban people who have been warned and then keep griefing.
