Why you want to be a mod
Well, I would like to begin by saying I hope to be mod in order to help people, but this is the main reason of being a moderator right? I aspire to be a mod as I have occasionally seen people not always helped. A few times I’ve been on without seeing other mods on, such things may happen. I’d also like mod for a second reason as well: to be able to help more in creating things that will benefit the server. I say this because I have been on this server for over a year now. . I love this server and it would be an honor to serve with the other mods. Becoming a mod has been a goal for me ever since I came to this server. I hope to achieve that goal soon.

Do you have a good understanding of the commands a mod uses
I’ve reviewed several commands several times. I think I’ve got a pretty good understanding of the commands. If I ever forget about such things like the coreprotect commands, there’s always /co help. I am a good problem solver and in most cases will be able to figure out how to solve the problem.
Will you be responsible, calm, mature, and trustworthy: Yes, but there’s no proof here in words to back me. Occasionally I can seem pretty immature, and sometimes get a little bit uncalm…but that’s mostly the same with everyone isn’t it? Most of the time, I can easily remain calm and mature. And I rarely ever lie. Of course being responsible is one thing that’s very necessary and yes I am responsible. I hope the time I have been on the server has shown people what kind of person I am.

CommandsThere are several commands that are limited to mods. These can be split into two parts, one being the general commands, and the other the CoreProtect commands. A list of commands can be seen in-game using /help and /co help– General Added Commands (Essentials Commands)These commands are used to control player behavior using such things as /kick or /ban, as well as a few helpful commands like /flyand /tp that let you play the game slightly easier.

    > Helpful Commands1. /fly – Toggles flight mode. Can be used to watch players from above, get to hard to reach places, or build floating creations. Should not be used for advantages in pvp.
    2. /tp – Main teleport command
    a. /tp [Name] – Used to instantly teleport to a player rather than requesting.
    b. /tphere [Name] – Used to instantly teleport a player to you.
    c. /tp [Name] [Name] – Used to teleport a player to another player.
    d. /tpdisable /tptoggle – Used to disable tp requests to you from other players.
    3. /socialspy [on/off] – Used to watch private messages between players. Can be helpful to prevent a griefer or halt an argument.
    4. /invsee [Name] – Used to see the inventory items of a select player. Can be helpful in detecting stolen items, or item hacks.
    > Control and Punishment Commands:
These commands may use lengths of time. Time is expressed in seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks.
    1. /mute [Name] [Time] – Used to disable a player’s chat abilities for a set amount of time. This can be used to control those who are arguing or speaking in an inappropriate manner.
    2. /jail [Name] [Jail Name] [Time] – Used to jail a person for certain amount of time which restricts their access of the places around the server. Can be used to get someone to return a stolen item, or to punish someone for a breaking of rules. Main jail name is Prison.
    3. /unjail [Name] – Used to release a person from the jail.
    4. /kick [Name] [Reason] – Temporarily disconnects a player from the server. They can join immediately afterwards. Used as a warning to the player.
    5. /tempban [Name] [Time] – Used to temporarily ban a person from server access. Used as a more restrictive warning to a player for breaking rules.
    6. /ban [Name] [Reason] – Used to permanently ban a person from the server. This only bans that username.
    7. /banip [Name/IP] – Used to completely remove all access to the server from one computer.
    8. /unban [Name] /unbanip [Name/IP] – Used to pardon a banned user/ip address.– Core Protect CommandsThese commands may use lengths of time. Time is expressed in seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks.
    1. /co help – Used to access a list of core protect commands. For those moments in your life where your brain goes dumb.
    2. /co inspect /co i – Used to view what actions the block selected has undergone. Typing it enables/disables the inspector. To use, left click a block to see who placed it, right click a block to see who removed blocks next to it, place a block in an empty space to see who removed a block in the space, place a block in a block like water to see who placed it, right click a door, container, lever, button, etc. to see who last used it.
    3. /co rollback u: t:[Time] r:[Radius] a:[Action] b:[Block] e:[Exclude] /co rb – Used to undo specified player actions in order to undo griefs and return stolen items to chests as well as undo killed livestock and more. Most commonly used are the u:, t:, and r: sections of the command. The a:, b:, and e: commands are used to further specify the exact things to rollback. EXAMPLE: /co rb u:wooooowzak t:5h17m30s r:#global a:-container e:155 This will undo all items I removed from any container across the whole server in the past 5 hours, 17 minutes, and 30 seconds except for quartz. 4. /co restore u:

    Part 2

Will you be responsible, calm, mature, and trustworthy
Yes. I am expected to behave like an adult, so I will make sure to keep my behavior in mind. I don’t want to be too abusive but I don’t want to be too lenient; I need to be in the middle of strict and lenient. I rarely get worked up about something and I stay calm all the time. I never lie and many people have told me to be one of the most honest people they know.
    Consequences
Consequences are given out for such things like hurling unnecessary abusive language, hacking, griefing, etc. Consequences are necessary to discipline the offender and to teach them not to commit the act again, and also to keep the server in a safe condition. The punishments for these offenses will vary depending on the act.
    – Arguing and Inappropriate Language
In situations where a user is arguing, hurling abusive language, talking inappropriately, or provoking or annoying someone through words.
1.Argument – No consequence if resolved easily and/or if minor. Attempt to resolve issue. If not ceasing the argument, involved players muted for 1 minute.
2.Use of language in hartful or inappropriate manor (including provoking, annoying, and taunting) – Warning. If continued, mute for 1 minute. If continued, temporary ban of 6 hours.
    – Stealing and Entering Without Permission
In situations where a user refuses to return an item borrowed from or accidentally dropped by a user who requests it back or steals from a private chest, or a user enters a private home without permission from owner.
1.Enters house through an opening already present – Warning, asked to leave. If refused, jailed for 2 minutes.
2.Enters house through griefing – Refer to Griefing section.
3.Enters house through a closed private entrance – Check for hacking. Refer to Hacking section.
4.Steals item – Warning to return. When returned, jailed for 1 minute unless not purposeful.
5.Steals item and refuses to return – Jailed and asked to return it. If continued refusal, temporary ban of 6 hours.

    – Spamming and Advertising
In situations where a user repeatedly spams a statement or advertisement and where a user posts a server IP and requests people to go visit it.
1.General unwanted spam – Muted for 2 minutes.
2.Purposefully harming spam – Muted for 5 minutes.
3.Refusal to end spamming – Temporary ban of 1 day.
4.Continued refusal to end spamming – Permanent ban.
    5.Few times advertising – Warning
6.Repeated advertising with refusal to stop – Permanent ban.

    – Griefing
In situations where a user destroys or builds on or very near another person’s build without their permission. If user is offline at the time, mail a warning, or warning when log in, followed by the same consequence.
1.Grief of 10 – 25 blocks: Kicked temporarily off server with a warning.
    2.Grief of 25 – 50 blocks: Temporary ban for 3 hours.
    3.Grief of 50 – 100 blocks: Temporary ban for 1 day.
4.Grief of 100+ blocks: Permanent ban.

    – Hacking
In situations where a user is using unauthorized hacking modifications to gain illegal or unfair advantages.
1.Hacking with a modification that only adds a very minor advantage (Rarely the case) – Temporary ban for a day with a warning about the use of the mod.
2.Hacking used to purposefully gain unfair advantages and/or to harm the server – Instant permanent ban.

    Questions
1.Someone’s house has been griefed, what do you do?
First I would identify the grief by finding out which block or chest was taken or placed or stolen from using /co i to enter inspection mode and doing the action appropriate to the situation to find who broke/placed/stole items or blocks. Once I find the griefer, I will do/co rb on that player and determine the time and radius to rollback, and if the player ever wishes to exclude something I will also determine the action, block types, or blocks to be excluded from the rollback. The griefer will face the appropriate consequence. (Refer to Consequences: Griefing) If the data is unavailable I may help the player obtain the things to replace it.

    2. Some users are arguing, what do you do?
I will avoid further igniting the conflict and try to identify the problem. I will work through this process as calmly as possible. If the users continue to argue and the argument grows in intensity, I will warn both players and if continued I will /mute [name] 2m for each player. If further conflict ensues and is not being resolved I will/kick both players with a strong warning. Of course I will try to avoid any consequences to the players and work out a way to settle the argument in as peaceful a way as possible.

    3. A user is hurling abusive language at you, what do you do?
I’d keep myself calm, and if ever I find myself unable to, I will ask the help of others. First, I’d try to resolve the problem they are yelling at me about, without further igniting the argument or hurling abusive language myself. If I am unable to resolve the problem and the argument was started by the opposing player, and they are accusing me severely as I remain as calm as possible, I will give a warning and /mute [name] 2m. If the argument eventually settles out, I will issue no consequences. If the argument was ignited by my actions, I will apologize in any way possible to prevent further conflict. If I find myself unable to quiet, I will try to remove myself from the conversation or leave the server temporarily. I will try to compromise with the player as much as possible.

    4. Someone enters another person’s house without their permission, what do you do?
First I’d want to make sure it’s really without permission. I can tell this by seeing who is on the [Private] sign on the door, or if they broke blocks to enter the house. Also if the owner of the house says so, then they must have entered without permission. Once I’m sure, I will issue a consequence. If there was any griefing or stealing, I will issue the appropriate consequence. (Refer to Consequence: Griefing) If they entered the home straight through a private entrance, I will investigate for hacking and issue the appropriate consequence. (Refer to Consequences: Hacking) If they have entered through an already open entrance, and have not done anything bad towards the property, I will ask them why they are there, and give a warning to leave. If they refuse I will do /jail [name] prison 2m.

Thanks for reading my mod application.

app vote: yes, I would like to point out that in the case of a small hack that is never the case. There are no hacks with only minor advatages like you describe. Anything would be either a full out hack or not even a hack at all
